Job Description:
• Ensure Preparation of monthly strategic financial reports; expenditure and income, profit and loss statements financial recommendation.
• Collect monthly account statements from all banks and review for discrepancies and provide report.
• Ensure source for funds from financial institution for the operation and execution of company's major projects.
• Design pay slips for the organization and ensure staff receive their slips promptly, File duplicate copy as appropriate and ensure sign off by staff.
• Generate weekly reports on current status of debtors with a detailed analysis and follow up action taken to get payments.
• Liaise with auditors monthly to ensure correct audit of accounts is achieved by the end of the fiscal year
• Design a payroll system that captures salary expenditure by units/departments monthly.
• Develop a standard documentation process for the units and ensure that all financial transaction are properly documented.
• Ensure payment for all supplies is made to suppliers not long after delivery.
• Monitor the monthly budgets for performance i.e. ensuring compliance for income and planned expenditures, noting the deficits and surplus and highlight reports and recommendation on performance to management.
• Develop a process that will monitor daily, weekly, monthly material usage at project site or any further expenses.
• Develop a monthly report on projects (local, state, federal, and private funding, contracts and grants) to show the following; Total Contract sum, Projected contract execution sum, work in progress sum and variances and the reasons for the differences
• Monitor Nigeria Financial Market and government policies which relates to the industry the company is playing in; and advise management on strategic financial decisions to take on monthly bases.
• Prepare VAT returns.
Job Requirements:
Qualification/Experience:
• A Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance, A professional qualification such as ICAN, AAT, ACA) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the real estate industry
• Must have Excellent numerical skills
• Must pay Attention to details
• Must have a good grasp of accounting software packages
• Must be Able to work under pressure
• Must have excellent negotiation skills
• Must possess effective time management Skills
• Must have Excellent I.T skills
