Title: Abia State - ASOPADEC Board Members re-appointed

(http://www.abiastate.gov.ng/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/ABIA-BANNER2-710x300.jpg) As a result of their competence and diligence in the discharge of their duty in making sure that the oil producing communities in the state benefit from dividend of democracy and rural development, the state government has renewed the contracts of former board members of Abia State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (ASOPADEC) with Sam Nwogu as Chairman.

Speaking at the ceremony, which took place in the Executive Chambers of Government House, Umuahia, Governor Theodore Orji commended the board for the unity that existed between them which enabled them work assiduously for the development of the rural areas and the state by carrying out various empowerment programmes, skill acquisition among others which are aimed at alleviating poverty and enhancing the welfare of the indigents.

On his part, the Chairman of the Board, Sam Nwogu thanked the governor and promised to do better.
