Former Italy international Attilio Lombardo led an exodus of Italian backroom staff from Manchester City, the club confirmed Thursday.
.
Following the sacking of manager Roberto Mancini earlier this week and the subsequent departure of first-team coach David Platt, five more members of Mancini's backroom staff have now gone.
.
Reserve team boss Lombardo has been joined by defensive specialist Angelo Gregucci, Ivan Carminati, Fausto Salsano and Massimo Battara in leaving the 2012 league champions.
.
"We thank them for their contribution to Manchester City since their arrival and wish them well with their future careers," said a club statement.
I like the way Manchester City is taking it. They don't send anyone that leaves after Mancini. It's their choice.
