Job Profile:
This position reports to the Senior Manager – Procurement. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all local and international procurement of non-health goods and services, generating procurement solicitation documents, evaluation of tenders and bids received for competitive processes especially for Non-health commodities. S/He will be required to also generate purchase orders following the tendering process, liaise with Legal staff on contracting with vendors for the provision of non- health goods and services, co-ordinate the tracking of all initiated procurement processes and supervise the vendors' management process to ensure quality and efficiency in delivery of goods and services.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for co-ordinating adequate documentation of the procurement processes for easy retrieval by all relevant personnel.
Qualifications/Experience:
The desired candidate:
• Must have a first degree in any of the sciences/social sciences. A masters degree will be an advantage
• Must possess a minimum of seven (7) years post NYSC work experience, four (4) years of which must be in a senior capacity in procurement.
• Must have proven experience and strong skills in procurement management and administration.
• Must have high proficiency in the Microsoft Excel and Word packages.
• Should have hands-on awareness of the required scope of the needed work environment and the attendant equipment necessary for the job.
• Knowledge of the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Package will be of added advantage.
• Professional qualification in Procurement will also be an added advantage
