ABOUT THIS JOB: At Baker Hughes, the G&G Software Consultant will be responsible for offering detailed technical expertise & application workflow support across Baker Hughes' Reservoir Software products and achieve market penetration with key strategic customers and clients within the African region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Develop and deliver reservoir software demonstrations in a variety of situations; client meetings, lunch and learns, seminars and trade shows.
• Provide first line and onsite support to existing customers to assist in their successful use of our Reservoir Software platform, applications and technologies.
• Integrate our technical and commercial capabilities to customer needs; through developing a clear understanding of customer's business & technical issues and in turn work closely with the Reservoir Software sales team to develop most effective strategies for selling our products.
• Engage with the Reservoir Software sales team to effectively promote and sell our products to a multiple of customers and clients you are engaged with.
• Play an active role in the business planning process; the position involves directly creating value via client relationship management and creating business development opportunities.
• The role will consist of regular travel across the EMEA region so an flexible and adaptable approach to commitments will be very much part of the function.
ESEENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelors Degree of equivalent in related subject (Geology / Geoscience / Petroleum Engineering)
• Specific Geophysical & Geological software simulation expertise related to geomechanics, modeling and fracturing.
• Specific experience in a technical sales, account management and / or G&G software application support role for E&P customers
• Positive, energetic and confident individual who enjoys and is passionate in a client facing role & function.
• Strong communication & presentation skills
• Collaborative style to creating & offering solutions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: In depth knowledge and experience of G&G software support and sales across the EMEA region for a multiple of customers.
