Job Title: Investment Principal

Job Description:
You will be responsible for;
• Building and maintaining a pipeline of new early stage and growth businesses in the technology, consumer and agricultural sectors across West Africa, for the fund to invest in.
• Appraising entrepreneurs, managers, businesses, business ideas and market sectors across West Africa.
• Negotiating equity investments in businesses across West Africa.
• Providing board level support and oversight to entrepreneurs and managers in small business in West Africa, that helps them to succeed in achieving challenging business and financial goals.
• Identifying and negotiating with potential buyers for the Funds' portfolio businesses. And
• Providing support, coaching and mentoring to junior analysts and investment officers within the Fund Manager and helping them to succeed.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Ideally within your background you will;
• Have a demonstrable track record of finding, adding value to and exiting equity investments, obtained in a private equity, venture capital or investment banking environment.
• Be familiar with and have experience working with businesses in at least one of the main countries in West Africa.
You will also need to be located in or be prepared to relocate to Lagos, Nigeria.
