Job Title: Project Management and Controls Engineer

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Employer: Sea Trucks Group (STG)

Reports to:

•   Project Director (Functional);

•   Project Manager (Functional);

•   Package Manager (Functional);

•   Engineering Manager (Project Related).

Directs: Project/Discipline/CAD Engineers/PMT Sub-Teams.

Responsible for:

•   Timely completion of Engineering Deliverables within man-hour budget;

•   Technical Preparations for the project;

•   Ensuring that these Preparations result into cost efficient project execution in accordance with Contractual, Legislative, Regulatory, Company and Commercial requirements;

•   "Fitness for purpose" of Project Deliverables based on contractual specifications, codes and standards;

•   Concept and Method for fabrication, transportation, construction and installation;

•   Ensuring that Technical Concept and Method is in accordance with common industrial standard practice;

•   Applying Company's Technical expertise to the maximum extent;

•   Engineering Support during the Execution phase of the Project(fabrication and offshore);

•   Preparation and Maintenance of Engineering Basis;

•   Preparing Engineering Planning;

•   Coordination, Planning, Control and Progress Reporting of Engineering Activities for the Project;

•   Technical liaison with Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, OCM and Sub-Contractors;

•   Coordination of Engineering Sub-Contractors;

•   Assist QA/QC in compilation and finalisation of As-Built Records Dossier;

•   Adherence to Company Management System (CMS) applicable to his/her field of responsibility;

•   Proposing, Stimulating and Realising optimisation and improvements in his/her area of responsibility;

•   Analyse Root causes of real time existing issues, document identified issues with the corresponding cause and solutions;

•   Responsible for coordinating Projects' cost to Completion and Budgets;

•   Review of Project Contracts and Sub-Contracts;

•   Preparation of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and other structures to be used in planning, scheduling and control;

•   Preparation/Review of Project Execution schedule;

•   Implementing and Appraisal of Project Surveys, Audits and Constructability reviews;

•   Coordinating of the reporting of Progress, Performance and Resource Allocation;

•   Principal lead for Tender Preparations and Submissions.

Authorised to:

•   Approve Engineering Deliverables;

•   Perform technical communication with Sub-Contractors.

Education and Training:

•   Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline;

•   Relevant Offshore training;

•   Project Management Training

Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in Offshore Installation Engineering of which at least 5 years was in coordinating Project Engineering.

Knowledge & Skills:

•   Practical and theoretical knowledge of offshore transportation, installation and pipelay techniques;

•   Good Knowledge of Company Management System (CMS) ensuring compliance to Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Security (QHSES) requirements;

•   Good knowledge of the English language both written and spoken;

•   Ability to work in a team and coordinate activities;

•   Prepared to travel and work irregular hours;

•   Prepared to work offshore;

•   Ability to proactively plan for potential problem scenarios (Preparation of back-up plans);

•   Ability to prepare Root Corse Analysis(RCA).
