Nissan on Wednesday said it will accelerate the market launch of the Nissan Leaf in the U.S. with deliveries set to "move into the many thousands." Reservations for the Nissan Leaf will reopen on May 1 for consumers in the original launch states of Arizona, California, Hawaii, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas and Washington, with a wider U.S. rollout continuing in the fall. Nissan said the first post earthquake-produced Nissan Leafs will arrive in the U.S. on April 27.
