Title: PRRINN workshops in Katsina.

A 5-day training workshop on improved and effective communication skills has opened in Katsina for health educators and journalists.

The workshop which is being organized by the partnership for the revival routine immunization in Northern Nigeria, Maternal Newborn and Child Health Initiative, PRRINN-MNCH is intended to improve and enhance the communication skills of participants exploring new skills and techniques in the field.

Consultant to the programme, Mrs. Dije Gimba highlighted areas to be covered during the workshop to include models of communication, establishing rapport, gathering information, breaking barriers in communication and message components.

Mrs. Gimba said after the workshop, participants are expected to use the acquired skills in the field for the purpose of creating demand in health care services as outlined in output 6 of the PRRINN initiative.
