Ezeobi, the Commissioner of Niger Delta Development Commission in Imo State had declared that the award conferred on him by the Imo Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) was a motivating factor for him to sustain his efforts in the development of the State.
The Commissioner made this known in Owerri while receiving the legacy award.
The NDDC boss stressed that his selection for the award was not a surprise.
He said that NDDC management board had completed and commissioned not less than 37 projects in Imo State just within one year in office.
Barrister Ezeobi explained that the latest ones he commissioned were the solar water projects at Opuoma in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo state, the electricity project at Obohohia in the same local government area and the 1.4 kilometre road project at Amaifeke, Orlu local government area of Imo State.
He noted that the secret behind his success was his belief on the process of revocation and had always warned contractors against unnecessary delay in projects execution.
The Commissioner urged the youths against restiveness and told them to be focused in life.
The NDDC Commissioner commended members of his board for their zeal in ensuring that the purposes of their appointment were achieved.
