Absa Premiership club Ajax Cape Town have confirmed through their website that they are in talks with sometimes wayward striker Mabhuti Khenyeza with the view to extending his contract.
.
The Urban Warriors striker was offered a new two- year deal that will keep him at Ikamva until 2016. Mabhuti joined Ajax on a short term contract to help the club in their battle to avoid the relegation battle and he responded in deadly fashion. The striker scored seven goals in 12 games in an Ajax shirt with five goals in the last four games under Muhsin Ertugral.
.
Despite media speculation that he would leave the club upon Ertugral's arrival, the player stayed and flourished under the Turks management. Club chief executive George Comitis said;
.
"Khenyeza was a key player in our last four games and we are keen to secure his services.
.
"We have offered Mabhuti a new two-year deal, and as the player is a free agent in principle he has agreed to the terms of the contract."
Congratulations to the player for this wonderful achievement. It's never an easy thing to extend a club deal. He must be worth it.
