Title: Labour Minister moves to strengthen implementation machinery of Community Service scheme of SURE-P.

(http://fmi.gov.ng/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/emeka-wogu.gif)                        The Minister of Labour and Productivity, Emeka Wogu in pursuant of employment creation initiative of the Federal Government has expressed  resolve to carry out a sensitization and appraisal visit to Delta State on the Implementation of the Community Services, Women and Youth Employment (CSWYE) Project of SURE-P,   from  Friday, 24th to Saturday, 25th  May, 2013.

During the visit, the Minister will pay courtesy call on the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, address traditional rulers and royal fathers, conduct on-the-spot visits to work sites and interact with the beneficiaries.  He will also hold a rally with a cross section of over 3,500 beneficiaries, with representatives from the six states of the South-South geopolitical zone.

The visit is the first leg of zonal visits to the six geo-political zones by the Minister to sensitize the public and strengthen the implementation machinery of the project following the official relocation of the Federal Project Implementation Unit (FPIU) of the CSWYE from the Federal Ministry of Finance to the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity.

The Community Services Women, and Youth Employment (CSWYE) Project is a component of the Social Safety Net Programme under the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P) of the Federal Government of Nigeria, an initiative of the administration of Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, aimed at alleviating the sufferings of the masses following the partial removal of oil subsidy.
