A former Super Eagles Coach, Christian Chukwu, on Wednesday commended Coach John Obuh, on his provisional list of invited players to the national U 20 team, the Flying Eagles.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the invited players were in preparation for the FIFA U-20 World Cup scheduled for Turkey from June 21 to July 13.

Chukwu told NAN on telephone that the invited players were good,saying: he was hopeful the final team selection would not be a problem to the coaching crew.

"The selected players are very good and hardworking, so we wouldn't encounter any difficulty in our quest for the U-20 World Cup victory.

"Our young players always represent us well in international tournaments. I just hope they meet our expectations of winning the trophy this time," he said.

The former coach said that he wished the team the best, ahead of the tournament, adding that they should make the country proud as always.

"I wish them the best. They should prepare well and strive to win the tournament," he added.

He also stressed the need for the Nigeria Football Federation to positively motivate the players to help them achieve their objective and that of the country.
