(http://www.channelstv.com/home/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Daura-Attack.jpg)The House of Representatives has called on the Inspector General of police to intensify efforts to apprehend armed bandits that laid siege to the town of Daura, in a six hour operation that led to lose of lives and property. The attackers brought down a police station and robbed banks and homes. They also freed detainees at the police station in the town and then threw explosions at the station and prison In a motion of urgent public importance, Salisu Daura informed the house that on Thursday the 16th of May, the bandits completely destroyed two police stations and four commercial banks. The motion was passed unanimously with the house also urging the military authorities to check the traumatising of innocent people in the areas as attempts to unearth the culprits are in progress. A joint committee of the house has also been mandated to visit the town on a fact finding mission, to report back to the house in four weeks.
