Position Purpose:
• The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the handling and movements of equipments, products and other inventory materials within the area/location.
• He/she is responsible for the functioning of the store according to company standards, applying good housekeeping practices, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency, ensuring goods are received, stored and issued to internal and external customers in a timely maner.
• He/she is responsible for inventory transaction accuracy, both physically and as recorded in the Store Management System.
Key functions:
• Lead, direct, train and manage other stores team.
• Involved in the recruiting, hiring and appraising of his/her team members.
• Interact with internal customers to implement optimal inventory levels to balance high customer service levels, versus the inventory cost to the company.
• Participate in periodic physical counting program to satisfy internal control requirements.
• Conduct store specific cycle counting program.
• Ensure material/equipment receipt, storage, issuance, return & disposal is performed in a compliant and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with established procedures and Company Standards to maintain effective control over the physical product flow and storage for the store and other inventory areas. He/she is responsible for ensuring high levels of housekeeping are maintained.
• Implement required documentation and labelling per Company Sandards and local requirements.
• Maintain timely input to Store Management System and ensure accurate stock transaction records.
• Continuously improve processes to increase store efficiency and reduce cost.
• Prepare and provide monthly inventory reports as deemed necessary and as required by management.
• Update and communicate Key Performance Indicators and best practices to the store team and key parties.
• Implement, as applicable, advanced materials techniques (eg. kitting, Kanban etc) to improve local material management efficiency.
• Communicate with management occurences of store failures (eg. damaged or lost goods) and participate in investigations and actions to prevent reoccurence.
• Comply with applicable company policies including, but not limited to finance, personnel and QHSE.
• Other duties as assigned.
