In the bid to recognise actors, individuals, corporate bodies, government and its agencies that have contributed immensely to the growth of the nation's motion picture industry, the. Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has concluded plans to organise its own award ceremony known as the Screen Actors Award.

Already, the National President of the guild, Ms Ibinabo Fiberesima has inaugurated a 10- man committee to oversee to the hosting of the maiden edition of the award this year.

To be chaired by Don Pedro Aganbi, the committee has other members, including Julius Omije as Vice Chairman, veteran actor, Tony Akposheri as PRO, Clinic Matters actress, Ejiro Okurame (mobilization) sensational actress Cynthia Agholor and Amaka Eze will be in charge of marketing the event.
It is a good thing to recognise our actors and actresses from time to time in our country. They trully deserve that.
