Our client is a management majority-owned securities firm involved in investment banking, securities trading, asset management and investment research with a focus on West Africa. They now require an Investment Banking Analyst for their Lagos office.

The successful candidate will be working as a member of a team involved in providing a range of financial advisory services including mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructurings, divestitures and spin-offs. The role also involves working on capital raising mandates to source equity and debt financing for corporate entities.
Job Description:
• Sourcing, collating and analyzing data and financial information
• Engaging in extensive fundamental analysis of companies in different sectors and carrying out preliminary competitive analysis for soliciting mandates
• Preparing pitch books, marketing documents and statutory documentation for regulatory filings
• Creating and maintaining financial models as well as carrying out valuation analysis
• Any other ancillary investment banking responsibilities as assigned
The Person:
• University Degree with minimum grade of Second Class Upper. A Masters Degree and/or additional finance-related professional qualifications are an added advantage
• Minimum of 2 years working as an analyst within the investment banking or corporate finance teams in a recognized financial institution or investment bank.
Skills / Competencies:
• Hands on experience in financial modeling and valuation analysis
• Analytical and Numeracy skills
• Commendable Writing skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications especially MsWord, Mintercoursecel and PowerPoint
