[attachimg=1 align=left] Today marks the last series of Nigeria's April general elections by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Governorship and legislative (State House of Assembly) elections hold today in several states of Nigeria.

KATSINA: 8:15 a.m, Units 007 (Sabo Rugwa) and 009 (Kurau Doruwa), materials are on ground but accreditation has not started. At ATC Polling Unit, accreditation has started but a lot of underage voters are on the queue. The streets of Katsina look like every other day as people and vehicles move freely. The Five units inside the Emir of Katsina Palace have very voters on the queues.

Just been accredited about 20 minutes ago at Nassarawa 'B' polling unit.Poor turn out of voters today,compared to last week's presidential election.FROM ABDULRAUF AUDI,MINNA.

Corps members shun election duties in parts of Jigawa

From suleja voters turn out is very low but in places like Anguwan Danzaria, Tudun salanke, the turn out is encouraging.

Aliyu U. Suleiman, PU002, ung. Mall Hassan, Nasarawa Central ward, Nassarawa State: " Just been accredited. Very poor turn out of voters experienced with the majority being the women. High level of disillussionment; that is how the saying goes."

IN HADEIJA:Lawan also reports that at a polling booth in Dubantu," I met some voters threatening they will not vote without a cubicle, which a collation officer said was in short supply"

Jigawa State:Lawan Danjuma in Hadieja says the atmosphere generally calm and peaceful, except alot of people did not come out to vote due to anger over alleged maltreatment meted out to them by soldiers in the wake of last week violent uprising.

KATSINA: At more than 8 units, we've been, I could count only two corpers. Apparently, they refused to turn-out for duty as a result of fear.

KATSINA: Katsina State SSG, Architect Ibrahim Sayyadi said the exercise will be peaceful with the help of the security agencies. He said the underage will not be allowed to vote. He also said people will turn-out for the poll before deadline.

Frm Suleja Lg of Niger state @ Magajiya ward d voter's turn out is low generally.

NASARAWA STATE voters' (turn out) is very low in keffi local govt. (I have) spoken to one of voter's. Saying dat they cheated them in the first time so they dont want to vote again from keffi. NASIR TANKO KASIM

In Benue State, 13 parties are contesting for the governorship seat but only ACN, ANPP, CPC and PDP have agents at most polling units in Makurdi, the state capital.

Lagos, Nigeria:  Accreditation apace in Ilupeju. There is heavy military and police presence amid a veil of tension.

Lagos, Nigeria: Accreditation ongoing at Nathan Primary School (PU019 Yaba/Ojuelegba ward) where the gubernatorial candidate of PDP, Ade Dosunmu is expected to cast his vote.

Kwara, Nigeria: The Kwara state commissioner of police in a convoy monitoring the election in Ilorin.

Kano, Nigeria: Low turnout of voters across the city of Kano amid minimal security presence.

Lagos, Nigeria: Accreditation ongoing at Ward G3,Surulere where the Lagos State governor and candidate ACN is expected to vote.

Ogun, Nigeria: Voters revolt over alleged missing voter register at Ward 5, Unit 2, in Abeokuta,as INEC officials are chased away.

Lagos, Nigeria: The Lagos State governor, Babatunde Fashola and his wife accredited at State Junior Secondary School. It appears this is the only election many residents are interested in as turnout looks its best today at many polling units in Oshodi, Surulere, Maryland.

Lagos, Nigeria: High turnout of voters for accreditation at polling units 031, 032 and 042 all in Ojodu/Agidingbi ward.

Lagos, Nigeria: Low turnout at polling unit 015, Agidingbi/Omole ward.

Lagos, Nigeria: INEC officials dozing while some people were sitting under tress waiting for voting to start.

Enugu, Nigeria: Shops are open for business at Amechi Awkunanaw although there is large turnout of voters.

In Oro town, Irepodun LGA, Kwara state, accreditation started just 20 minutes ago due to late arrival of materials.

11:30am: Voter apathy recorded around Kano

I was Accreditated at kpansia (7) here in Yenagoa and people are orderly in the queue. Usman Adamu

Accrediatiön is completed here in Anguwan Primary Board Jalingo, But there is low turn Out Of voters compare to Presidential Election. FROM ABDULHAMEED D USMAN (JALINGO)

Polling units,Bulama Ali 153 and154 in Jajeri ward of Maiduguri Metropolitan Council,Borno State,no INEC officials there by 11:10am.

I have just been accredited at Pu 26/11/04/011 Zango Pri mary Sch. Kontagora. There is a very low turn out of voters, especialy Women, compare last presidential election.

KATSINA (PU 20/21/I2/018) - Accreditation started 8.32am.The flow of voters to the polling unit is in trickles. There's marked apathy of voters in today's exercise.

From Austin in Niger state: Low turn out at IBB house Up-Hill water tank polling unit 020, Sabon Gari ward, Minna Niger state, for fear of the unknown. We are still waiting for IBB and Gen Abdulsalam to come for acreditation.

Daily Trust's Shehu Abubakar reports from Uyo that voting materials arrived at Lutheran Primary School voting unit in Ini Local Govt. Area by 4:12pm for today's election. No reasons where given by the electoral officers for the delay.
