Title: Ogun State - Ogun to produce mineral data map to guide investors

 Anytime from now, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Ogun will embark on the production of a mineral data map that will give reliable information to investors who wants to explore the vast and rich mineral deposit with which the State is blessed.

Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru who dropped this hint at a press briefing marking the second year anniversary of Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s administration in the State added that when produced, the data map would be a dependable reference material to guide prospective investors in making informed decisions.

Ashiru noted that the data map would also lay a solid foundation for revenue generation for the State’s mineral resources sector, pointing out that necessary policy and law for further improvement of the management of the State mineral resources in line with Federal Government guidelines were being attended to.

He stated that government was also giving more attention to further develop its solid mineral sector towards exploring more ways of taking economic advantage of them and also prevent environmental degradation.

Enumerating the mid-term achievements of his Ministry the Commissioner noted that it had started the disbursement of N1b industrial development loan scheme for Micro, small and medium scale enterprises with 45 cooperative societies comprising 460 individuals as beneficiaries. According to him, this singular gesture had helped in creating at least 4000 direct jobs in the State.

On investment prospects, Ashiru explained that as a direct response to various government’s investment drives, over 32 news companies had opened shop in the State. He emphasized that 19 of them were located in Agbara, while the remaining 13 were scattered in different parts of the State, recalling that President Goodluck Jonathan commissioned four among the new establishments.

The Commissioner also noted that government had been unrelenting in the renovation of markets across the State; a development which he said had created an enabling environment for increased trading and general commercial activities in the markets located in different parts of the State.

I really think it would be necssary for them to do that to make things easier. Brilliant thoughts must've brought this up.
