Vanguard learnt that the student was about to board a vehicle to the school at the Post Office area of the town when he was suddenly shot severally on his legs. He later bled to death.

The vehicle which the deceased would have boarded was said to have been stopped by the policeman who was escorting the bank's bullion van before the suspect suddenly started firing gun shots which hit the student on his legs severally.
