Title: Siasia Cautions Super Eagles Over Injury Risks
Post by: Folami David on Jun 01, 2013, 02:57 PM
Former Super Eagles handler, Samson Siasia, has cautioned the senior national team led by Coach Stephen Keshi to avoid unnecessary injury when they take on Mexico national team in an international friendly game scheduled to hold in Houston in the early hours of Saturday, (2am)Nigerian time.
.
The Beijing 2008 Olympic Games silver medalist who spoke to Complete Sports from Bayelsa where he currently works with the state's football academy said the Mexico match should be taken as friendly and avoids anything that could cause them any injury.
.
"Personally, I will not say that I want the players to go out and beat Mexico 4-0 or 2-0, they should just see the match as a friendly affair and try to avoid any mistake that could cause unnecessary injury because the matches against Kenya and Namibia are more important to us as a nation," says the soccer tactician.
.
"I think they have done a lot since they returned to camp but playing Mexico should not be seen as a do-or- die affair because we need the best of our players in the matches we are playing next month".

Samson siasia is very much right cause that is actually the last thing they need in their camp right about now.

Injury would happen no matter how a player prevents it. It is just always bound to happen at any time.

Samson Siasia should pick up another coaching career in another country. He is just wasting his coaching talent.

Samson Siasia has been in the position of a coach before so he knows how bad injury can be. I agree with him big time.
