Job Title: Principle Investor/Sales Originator

CSL Stockbrokers Ltd (CSLS/ CSL Stockbrokers) has over 30 years operating history on the Nigeria Stock Exchange. CSLS is a fully owned subsidiary of FCMB Plc and provides Institutional and corporate brokerage services to investors and select issuers.
JOB SUMMARY: This position will report to the MD/CEO of one of the top three investment services, provider of choice, that provides Institutional and corporate brokerage services to investors and select issuers. The ideal candidate must be a generalist , and must have a good understanding of the drivers of sectors in Nigeria, with relevant work history in a target driven Sales environment. Must have valuation/ modeling experience and be able to originate listed and unlisted investment ideas and present ideas for our principle investment book and to our institutional client base.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for originating investment ideas from the listed universe and unlisted universe via corporate banking and capital markets for internal and external clients
• Building financial models of companies. In particular Profit & Loss, Cash flow, and Balance Sheet, to a standard suitable for financial statement analysis and valuation.
• Convert complex raw financial data into an investment proposal/pitch for an investment committee and /or the Sales team

Desired Skills & Experience:
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to create investment ideas based on publicly-available information: company accounts, industry trends and news items for internal and external clients
• Ability to build and maintain financial models (Excel) Knowledge of principles of corporate financial analysis.
• Research experience essential to this role.
• Excellent writing skills. Ability to structure a report. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• CFA certified
• Degree holder in Economics, Business, and Finance related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years international experience in Equity Research covering specific industries
• Experience in Corporate Brokerage/ Corporate Finance including experience in Issuing house activities will be an advantage.
