A former Attorney General of Plateau State, Mr. Yusufu Pam, has said the inability of the governors to accept the results of the Nigeria Governors' Forum election and the rancour that attended it have set a bad precedent for the 2015 general elections.
Pam, who spoke to our correspondent in an interview in Jos on Friday, said the result of the election showed that Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi won and so should be the chairman of the forum.
He accused the governors of attempting to throw the country into confusion and described what transpired at the election as a theatre of the absurd.
Pam said, "We have all watched the video of that election on the Internet and from what we saw, Amaechi won the election clearly. So,what the NGF is doing by recognising another candidate is setting a bad precedent for the 2015 general elections."
He advised the governors to concentrate on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people instead of bickering over a body that was of little relevance to the welfare of Nigerians.
