Oracle Data Integrator, ODI, ETL, Business intelligence, BI, Data warehousing, Development. He / She will be working within a multi-disciplined team including client design/development teams and technology partners. To be successful in this role, candidate should have a proven Real Time development experience in ODI, along with good understanding in Data Warehousing concepts and ETL.
QUALIFICATIONS: University degree in computer/Information technology or relate field.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Clear understanding of source and target structures
• Building cubes and reports that take advantage of Dimensional Modelling capabilities
• Knowledge and experience of business intelligence applications like Hyperion, Cognos, Business Objects, etc
• Ability to troubleshoot technical problems with beta and new release software, and research possible solutions using the internet and other available resources
• Strong data analysis and data modelling; data warehouses, data marts and star schemas
• Database optimization; solid understanding of referential integrity and the use of indexes
• Implementing and supporting 3rd party applications and web-based applications
• EDW Design
• Analyze other touch points system with the BI system
• Integrate with the BI ecosystem to support Reporting needs
• Identify key information domains; generate data model
SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE ATTRIBUTES:
• ODI Architecture- Should have In-depth knowledge in ODI components, Location of key files, Impact of modification in parameters files
• ETL development experience – ODI or OWB technical commercial experience
• Dimensional Modelling
• Development Artifacts-Working knowledge with Interface, Procedure, package, User Functions, variables, Custom KM, Substitution Method API
• Database eg Oracle, DB/PLSQL file: Complex XML, Flat File, Complex File Queue/Topic: JMS queue/Topic
• Development Logic & Best Practices- How to implement best practices to optimize source code. Debugging skill
• – OBIEE, Business Objects experience, mandatory
MICROSOFT BI COMPETENCIES:
• Developing and designing Cubes using SSAS and Reports using SSRS
• SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio
• Integration of SSRS/SSAS Integration with WSS/MOSS
• Microsoft SSAS/SSRS/SSIS on MS SQL Server 2005 and 2008 implementation.
• Knowledge of the .Net framework for use with SQL Server 2005 (competency dependent)
• Familiarity with infrastructure architecture and Microsoft Server environment.
ORACLE BI COMPETENCIES:
• Create and maintain Oracle Discoverer business areas.
• Create and maintain Oracle Discoverer workbooks and worksheets
• Create and maintain Oracle OLAP cubes
• Create and maintain the Enterprise Data Dictionary
EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION:
• Must have at least 7 – 10 relevant working experiences and be able to work without supervision.
• Code contributions to Open Source projects
• He/she must have vast knowledge of Oracle, Data warehousing and software development.
• Proven experience interacting directly with end users
• Also, knowledge of Microsoft BI and SharePoint applications development is a plus.
