Atletico Madrid have confirmed the signing of forward Leo Baptistao from Rayo Vallecano for an undisclosed fee.
.
"Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano have reached an agreement for the transfer of Leonardo Carrilho Baptistao to the rojiblanca," said a statement on Atleti's website.
.
"The 20-year-old Brazilian striker, with an Italian passport, will be tied to Atletico for five seasons."
.
The Brazilian scored seven goals and provided six assists in Rayo's best ever campaign in the top flight this season as they finished eighth.
.
Atleti were in the market for a striker following the departure of top-scorer Radamel Falcao to Monaco last week.
.
And Baptistao is unlikely to be the only forward brought in to reinforce Diego Simeone's squad as they prepare for a first Champions League campaign in four years.
Atletico Madrid are never complete without Radamel Falcao so he wouls definately be missed. But good they signed the Rayo guy though...
