Title: FG Spends N126 billion On Roads, Completes 32 Federal Roads

(http://www.channelstv.com/home/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/raod-construction.jpg) (http://www.channelstv.com/home/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/raod-construction.jpg)The Minister of Works, Mr Mike Onolememen who announced this at the 2013 Ministerial platform said that over N126 billion was used in the rehabilitation, reconstruction and expansion of the roads. Mr Onolememen at the first session of the 2013 ministerial platform briefing claimed the construction of roads had led to a drastic reduction of road accidents in the country. He listed efforts made to make the nation's roads motorable and revealed that more of such roads are under construction across the country. The Minister of Transport, Mr Idris Umar also gave account of his stewardship stating that the federal government is making every effort to make rail and maritime transport sector more viable. Dispelling concerns about the impact of federal government in states controlled by opposition parties, the Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku said the federal government has done its best in ensuring that government projects are replicated in all parts of the country irrespective of political leanings.
