Coach Stuart Pearce says he has no worries over the fitness of Wilfried Zaha ahead of England's European Under-21s Championship opener against Italy.
.
Zaha, 20, who helped Crystal Palace win promotion to the Premier League last week, missed most of Monday's training with an ankle problem.
.
"He shouldn't be a doubt," said Pearce ahead of Wednesday's match in Tel Aviv.
.
Sir Alex Ferguson is impressed with Wilfried Zaha's 'potential'
.
"We'll have another look at him but we shouldn't have a problem.
.
Forward Zaha, who signed for Manchester United in January before being loaned back to Palace, warmed up with his team-mates in Netanya early on Monday, before going off to work alone with physio Derek Wright.
.
Pearce added: "He's on top form as you would expect after his contribution to the whole season for Palace and getting a move to Manchester United, and on top of that winning the play-offs.
.
"He's been outstanding and he's left the club back in the Premier League so he'll be a cult hero with Palace for what he's achieved for them.
.
"There are no other knocks, other than little maintenance issues."
.
England are in Group A, along with Norway and hosts Israel. The two-week long tournament finishes on 18 June, with the final in Jerusalem's Teddy Stadium.
I'm very sure after one season, big teams in the EpL would snatch him away from Crystal Palace. I know that would happen.
