Job purpose and key deliverables: To oversee Talent sourcing in the Area based on global, regional and BAT specific strategies, developments and best practices.  The Talent sourcing manager is accountable for Talent data and insights across all markets in the Area.  This role is also expected to be an active, value adding member of the Talent team and also to undertake specific talent projects that will enable the Area to meet its current and future Talent pipeline requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

•   Develop and implement an Attraction & Retention strategy for BAT Nigeria which is aligned to, and supports the company vision & strategy

•   Lead the development and delivery of excellent Talent sourcing practices to ensure that this strategy is achieved in the short, medium and long term.

•   Source, implement and embed appropriate differentiated selection tools and assessment methodologies which are valid, culturally robust and also provide formal training to managers in their use to ensure professional and objective selection decisions are made.

•   Manage resourcing activities for Area by ensuring full line support for all end market recruitment

•   Ensure that recruitment protocols and procedures throughout the organisation are consistent and fully aligned to the labour laws for all end markets in the Area.

•   Contribute to the development of BAT WAA resourcing strategy with accountability for full implementation to ensure a continual flow of talent into the organisation.

•   Forecast future people requirements based on demand signals from business units

•   Ensure full compliance with the Regional guidelines on sourcing and selection

•   Leverage utilization of  the company's recruitment portal (Jobs@bat) for open resourcing approach

•   Source and develop relevant channels for Talent sourcing locally and within the WAA sub region Ensure that resourcing practices within the Area are consistent w.r.t tools, standards, practices etc.

•   Effectively utilize and negotiate  the services of executive search firms or employment agencies for the Area

•   Ensure integrity and consistency of the process of e-Recruitment within the Area by overseeing the administration of the E-Recruitment portal for own Area

•   Role model leadership behavior to external and internal stakeholders

•   Forecasts and plan the talent pipeline requirements for the Area based on various business model scenarios

•   Prepare, update and understand Talent related intelligence for the Area (including information on turnover, talent trends and industry insights)

•   Prepare for the Talent Reviews by ensuring that all necessary documents – presentations, support materials and minutes and the follow up of the actions plans are available

•   Implement Talent development dashboard and metrics to measure and track the progress delivery and impact of all Area talent projects, initiatives and work-streams.

•   Survey comparator companies to establish best practice and new developments in all Resourcing-related activities and evaluates their application to British American Tobacco to ensure leading edge stance is maintained.

•   Establish and maintain internal and external networks to access information on dynamics of external labour market.

•   Develop strong relationships with key talent providers (recruitment agencies, training providers and preferred suppliers, graduate sources etc)

•   Utilise these relationships to ensure that British American Tobacco Nigeria's awareness and attractiveness as an employer of choice are enhanced.

Essential requirements:

•   The position requires the jobholder to have a degree in social sciences or business related field. Associate Member of CIPMN or relevant professional HR association

•   Progressive generalist/specialist HR experience of 5 years or more with at least 2 years in recruitment

•   Excellent communication skills.

•   Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills are required.

•   Knowledge of relevant Nigeria & West Africa Labour Legislation.
