Newly appointed Sunshine Stars technical adviser, Fatai Amoo has charged Super Eagles not to let go the leadership of the group until they secure the ticket for the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.
.
The Eagles on Wednesday in Kasarani, Kenya took a two-point lead of their group ahead the Flames of Malawi after a hard-fought 1-0 win against East African foes, the Harambee Stars.
.
Attacking winger, Ahmed Musa scored the match winner deep into the second half at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani. The other group opponents' tie between hosts, Malawi and Namibia in Blantyre ended 0-0.
.
Amoo said now the Eagles have taken firm grip of the group they should do everything humanly possible to finish the job in Windhoek next Wednesday against the Brave Warriors of Namibia.
.
"It's great that Nigeria have consolidated their leadership of the group with two clear points. It's good for us and our dream qualification for the 2014 Fifa World Cup.
.
"It would have been a tensed atmosphere if the outcome had gone awry. Now they must intensify their preparation to finish what the job started in Nairobi in Windhoek, Namibia.
.
"They must keep the momentum and never allow the lead at the top to slip off their hands till they cement the World Cup ticket.
.
"The win against Kenya is a morale boost going into the game against Namibia. That game against Namibia is winnable and they should go there to wrap it up. The Eagles must avoid any form of complacency and never underrate the side.
.
"I congratulate the Super Eagles on the victory against Kenya and the smiles they've brought to the faces of Nigerians," said the former Super Eagles assistant coach.
.
The Eagles will head to Namibia to confront the Brave Warriors in another must win encounter. The African champions last group game will be a home tie against the Flames of Malawi in September.
