CHAIRMAN of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State, Rt. Rev Diamond Emuobor, has urged the national leadership of CAN and Niger Delta Christian Elders Council, to wade into the face-off between President Goodluck Jonathan and Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, before it gets out of hand with its attendant consequence on the Niger Delta region in particular and the country at large.

He also charged the ruling elites in the political groupings in Nigeria to be wary of bigotry and tyranic manipulations of the populace over who should take precedence in holding leading positions in the country's administration.

Emuobor, at the quarterly meeting of the association in Ughelli, queried the wisdom of President Jonathan, his allies and "a governor" in the country from the same political party and region, in washing their dirty linens in public.
