Super Eagles manager Stephen Keshi has expressed relief seeing the duo of John Mikel Obi and Onazi Ogenyi return to full fitness after injury stopped the Chelsea midfielder from featuring in the international friendly against Mexico which ended in 2-2 draw.
.
In an exclusive chat with Complete Sports at the team's La Mada Hotel in Nairobi, the former Hawks of Togo coach was all smiles as Mikel and Onazi were fully involved in Tuesday's evening training at the Moi International Sports Centre.
.
Before then, there were fears over Onazi's fitness after a bandage was seen around his ankle, but it was a huge relief to the backroom staff as the Lazio strongman shook off his pain and trained effectively.
.
"I am highly impressed with the commitment of my players. I don't have injury crisis and I am glad Mikel and Onazi have responded well. We will see how it goes. Hopefully, they should be part of the team for the crucial game," Keshi enthused.
.
He further expressed confidence in the ability of his players to show their champions stuff against Kenya today, adding that the coaching crew are already looking into their technical books with the aim of coming up with the right tactics to pick the three points at stake.
Stephen Keshi has done so well for Super Eagles so far ever since he assumed the position of a coach. Kudos!
