Super Eagles and Ado Den Haag defender, Kenneth Omeruo, has applauded the senior national team's resilience in their 1-0 win over the Harambee Stars of Kenya yesterday, stressing that the team deserves all the three points.

Speaking to Complete Sports after the match, the Chelsea-bound player said right attitude and determination were some of the qualities that saw the team navigate the difficult terrain in Kasarani, knowing full well that only a win would put Nigeria on the driving seat in the group.

"I was highly impressed with our performance against the Kenyans. We really showed character against a team that had their home fans fully behind them. They have been boasting that Nigeria will be beaten probably because of the performance they put up in Calabar the other time. But we have always believed in ourselves, we knew what we came here for and it is no small achievement that we got our well deserved three points.

"Our attention will now shift to Namibia, we are inspired by this win and hopefully, we can get another good result in Windhoek. It is not over yet, we will continue to work hard till the World Cup ticket is in the bag," he concluded.
