Title: Four corps members get automatic employment in Edo State.

This appointment was disclosed by the State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole during the passing out parade of the 3,006 Batch B Corps members deployed to Edo state, on 6th June, 2013.

The Governor who also announced a cash gift of N25, 000 per corps member who had their primary assignments in the State public schools, said the gesture was in appreciation of the contribution of the corps members to the development of the State, and by extension, the Nation.

Governor Oshiomhole said, "Having worked hard, I am happy that the NYSC recognizes that beyond sermonizing, one of the things we can do to encourage outstanding performance is to publicly acknowledge those who have distinguished themselves."

Also speaking at the occasion, the Edo State coordinator of NYSC, Mr. Adebayo Shomefun congratulated the Batch B Corps members, and disclosed that twenty members will be punished.

According to him, six corps members will have their service years extended, while fourteen others will experience a repeat of the service year.
