Idris Wada has said that his administration placed premium on public private partnership to deliver on its housing policy to the people of the state. Governor Wada, who stated this during the commissioning of the second phase of the state secretariat complex, said the commissioning of the secretariat complex marks a mile stone in his administration effort to provide good and comfortable working environment for the state civil servants. In his opening speech the commissioner for land, housing and urban development, Engineer Stephen Mayaki said the building was awarded to Tec Engineering Company in 2009. While delivering his key note address, Governor Idris Wada stated that during his familiarization tour of ministries, department and agencies on assumption of office, many civil servants were not provided adequate office accommodation that could guarantee high productivity and efficient service. He further stated that his administration sustained all programmes of development initiated by the former administration and brought them in line with the development of his administration to avoid the incidence of abandoned projects in the state. After commissioning the second phase of the secretariat, Mrs patience Jonathan who was the special guest of honour commended Governor Idris Wada for providing the civil servants good office accommodations saying it is an improvement in the welfare of the people. She called on every government to create an environment that is conducive for civil servant to carry out their duties effectively. Governor Wada stated that his government has already commenced housing projects to provide succour to the public servants and flood displaced persons and other citizens of the state.
