An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and committed Finance Director / Senior Finance Director to work for a leading international Agribusiness company in Africa.
They are based in many countries including Nigeria , Ghana, Sierra Leone and Kenya.
The successful Finance Director will be responsible for all aspects of the Finance and Accounting functions of the company, including; accounting, cash flow, forecasting, strategic planning, taxation strategies and SOX compliance.
Responsibilities will also include:
• You will take responsibility for developing and evaluating short, mid and long term strategic financial objectives
• Look at ways to increase financial performance and enhance business opportunities
• Provide monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Analyse forecasts, budgets and financial trends
• Advise management on future investments and business ventures
• Create and implement policies and procedures across the departments
• Be involved with both internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory laws for financial and tax reporting
• Manage a team of professionals
• Work closely with corporate treasury
Personal requirements:
• Previous experience within the Agribusiness industry is extremely desirable
• A degree within Accounting of Finance, MBA or CPA is highly advantageous
• 10 years' experience in financial leadership positions
• Must be fluent in English
• A fluency in a second language would be advantageous, especially French
• Must have strong communication skills
• Experience of working in a multi-national environment would be highly desirable
• Should be comfortable dealing with multiple currency's
