Post by: Folami David on Jun 10, 2013, 09:21 AM
Super Eagles will play its 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against the Brave Warriors of Namibia under floodlights after Namibia Football Association (NFA) pegged the kickoff time for the match at 8pm (7pm Nigerian time).
.
Super Eagles, which has been in Windhoek since Friday after arriving the capital of Namibia aboard a South Africa Boeing 737 aircraft from Nairobi via South Africa at about 1.35pm local time, has begun training for the match which will be played at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek.
.
On its arrival, the team was received at the airport by the Nigeria Ambassador to Namibia, Nathaniel Abiodun Olorunfemi and senior embassy officials as well as a representative of the (NFA).
.
Our correspondent also gathered that the match will be played on artificial turf as against the natural grass that the Super Eagles players prefer. These two conditions could prove detrimental to the team but Team Coordinator, Emmanuel Attah said that all is going according to plans in camp.
.
"All is calm in the camp, no injury worries and the players are looking forward to a great game on Wednesday despite insinuation that the game will be played on artificial turf," he said.
.
Super Eagles needs a victory in Namibia to be in a good position to qualify for the final stage where it will pick up the ticket to Brazil.

There is nothing new about that at all. Super Eagles must've gotten used to that already by now. They can still win the game.
