Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Job Summary: – To provide specialist expertise in the area of civil and structural engineering with respect to oil and gas facilities. – This role supports complex civil engineering tasks related to new and revamp of existing refineries, chemical plants, and oil and Gas facilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide technical expertise, policies, procedures, standards and technical review capabilities in the area of civil and onshore structural engineering in relation to the design and construction of oil and gas facilities.
• Design of storm water drainage, chemical drains, sanitary drains, earthworks, geometric design of roadways, grading, signing and striping, traffic control, parking lot design, design of tank containment and firewater protection systems.
• Provides technical direction for civil designers to produce civil plans and details.
• Produce and check plans, specifications and design calculations, identify and resolve issues in a timely manner and communicate status to lead engineers.
o Identify new technologies applicable to civil and onshore structures engineering; evaluate these both technically and commercially and where appreciable opportunities exist, progress and manage deployment in current assets and new projects.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
• Bachelor s Degree in Civil /Structural Engineering
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in civil and onshore structures design and construction, major industrial, petro-chemical and chemical plants, refineries and oil and Gas facilities.
• An MSCE and professional registrations are a plus.
• Ability to manage interfaces with subsurface, well engineering and production disciplines as well as with government, regulators, and stakeholders is essential.
• Offshore experience in platforms and jackets etc
• Conversant with Structural Engineering software such as a STAAD
• Experience related to site development, permitting, civil, and hydraulics engineering.
• Experience in Inroads, Micro station or AutoCAD, and Skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D/AutoCad Land Desktop is a plus.
• Computer proficiency is a requirement.
