on Spatial Semantics in Normative Multilingualism.
Name of the post: Junior Research Fellow
Salary: Rs 12,000 per month + HRA as per UGC norms
Essential Qualification: M.C.A./M.A./M.Sc. in Computer Science/Physics/Mathematics/Cognitive Science/Allied disciplines.
Desirable qualifications: (i) UGC-NET/M.Tech/M.Phil (ii) Experience in designing and implementing psychological experiments using computer programs and conducting
behavioural experiments.
Job Description: This project is a part of the DST National Initiative in Cognitive Science. The
study that we propose to pursue at the University of Hyderabad will involve designing and
executing behavioural experiments investigating spatial semantics in English, Telugu and
Hindi. Knowledge in these three languages would be desirable. The main job would be to
develop computer programs in collaboration with other co-investigators in Nizams Institute of
Medical Sciences (NIMS) and Osmania University Linguistics Department.
The project duration is three years. The selected candidates will be appointed on purely
temporary basis initially for a period of one year or till their services are required by the Project
Investigator, whichever is the earliest.
