The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, in its plenary session, has confirmed the appointment of Pastor Bassey as substantive auditor general for Local Government. This followed from a letter, reference number, GHU/AKS/S/104/487 addressed to the Speaker by Governor Godswill Obot Akpabio asking the House to ratify and confirm the appointment of Pastor Umoh who was on acting capacity.
