Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Warri Wolves have dedicated their 2-0 away win at ABS to late teammate, Solomon Oboh.
.
Oboh died in a ghastly motor accident on Sunday.
.
After the encounter the players burst into tears for the late colleague instead of celebrating their hard earned victory.
.
Wednesday's NPFL Matchday 18 at the Kwara State Stadium, IIorin is the first away victory of the Warri- based side this season aside the full points from the Matchday 16 tie at Akwa United in Uyo awarded to them this week by the League Management Company (LMC).
.
After an enterprising first half, Oghenekaro Etebo scored his eighth goal of the season in the 74th minute before Gift Atulewa silenced the home crowd in the 90th minute to give his side an unassailable 2-0 win.
.
Wolves' players, who left for the match with heavy hearts after the death of Oboh, put everything right and thereafter dedicated the victory to fallen hero, Oboh.
.
Wolves head coach, Solomon Ogbeide who went with a game-plan to frustrate their opponents' tip-tap style of play consoled the players and gave thanks to God for the victory coming after the LMC awarded three points to his side due to the unruly behaviour of Akwa United fans.
.
"We thank God for everything. God said in everything we should give Him the praise. We lost a valuable player in the week and same week we got three points from the inconclusive mid-week game at Akwa United courtesy of the LMC decision and today (Wednesday) we're victorious against ABS.
.
"Today's (Wednesday's) victory will be a morale booster when we play our next matches," said the former Akwa United coach.
.
Warri Wolves now have 30 points from a possible 54.
Warri Wolves is a good Nigerian club so I must commend them for their dedication to winning every NPL game.
