Determined to ensure that its employees acquire up-to-theminute skills to beat competitors in the hospitality industry, the management of NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja, has said that its employees were recently trained on frontline office operations.
Presenting the certificates of participation to the workers of the hotel in Abuja, the Managing Director of the hotel, Mr. Olagbemi Gabriel, challenged the recipients to showcase what the management offered them at the training to help bolster service delivery.
His words: "The most important thing about this certificate is that it is not just ordinary certificates. It makes you automatically an ambassador of this hotel, when you place this certificate on top of your wall that you work at NICON Hotel, it portrays you as an ambassador of the hotel.
"Even by the time you want to move out, telling people you passed out with this. I tell you, certificate of recommendation outweighs all credentials you may possess, because in Nigeria today, what matters most is that employers would ask you: 'how many years of experience do you have?
"Do you have any recommendation from your employer?' And, the certificate signed by the managing director, given his experience all over the world, should make this a source of motivation for you."
He appealed to the employees to avoid all sorts of sharp practices, whether within or outside the hotel.
One of the recipients, Salami Isioba, told National Mirror that the training afforded him the opportunity of being more knowledgeable in handling guests, booking of rooms and other services at the hotel.

That is very nice. Performances must always improve when they should so there won't be any dispute.
