Michael Laudrup has pledged his future to Swansea City, he told the South Wales Evening Post in an interview published on Thursday, amid reports that he was in line for a move to French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
.
"I have repeated it so many times in the last three months. My intention is to stay," the former Denmark international was quoted as saying.
.
Laudrup clarified his position in the light of reports that the English Premier League club had severed ties with his long-time agent because of disagreements about money available for new signings, prompting fears that it could prompt him to leave the Liberty Stadium.
.
But the 48-year-old said the issue did not affect him:
"The only thing I care about is to have the best players possible at Swansea who are within range of the economy of the club."
.
The manager's comments came as French sports daily L'Equipe claimed that PSG owners had opened discussions with a view to him taking over from Carlo Ancelotti, who has been linked with a move to the vacant post at Real Madrid.
I feel he is still very much comfortable at Swansea City. He has a very strong squad with great players. Kudos to him...
