Nigerian midfielder, Sunday Mba is pleased his "form is returning" after a brilliant outing with Nigeria in Wednesday's 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifying game against Namibia in Windhoek.

The midfielder, who achieved iconic status at the 2013 Afcon with crucial winning goals against Ivory Coast (in the quarterfinals) and Burkina Faso (in the final), helped the African champions stay within a point of qualification for the playoffs.

Mba has failed in recent games against Mexico and Kenya to soar to the heights attained at the 2013 Afcon but returned to the party with an impressive display against the Brave Warriors on a cold night in Windhoek.

"I am usually the first person to rate myself and I know I have not really played as well as I would have liked to in recent games. I don't think I played too badly in those games but I just felt I could have done better. The good things is that my form is returning," Mba exclusively told supersport.com after the game.

The 25-year-old then expressed disappointment that the team could not secure qualification for the playoffs on Wednesday night but promised that the Eagles "will finish off the job against Malawi."

"I am not happy we did not finish qualifying (for the playoffs with a win against Namibia) but the boys have talked amongst themselves and we have decided that we will finish off the job against Malawi in September," he said.

Nigeria currently lead Group F on nine points from five games, two points clear of second-placed Malawi.
Did nt know he lost form before now. He was still playing well in Nigerian games in my opinion.
