Pact in Nigeria is recruiting for the following position:

Title: Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor
Requisition Number: 11-0083
Location: Abuja

Position Summary:
The Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor is responsible for the overall monitoring activities of the DFID-funded Nigeria Stability and Reconciliation Fund (NSRF). This will be a large, £20-£25 million project; the program contract is anticipated to last five years. He/she will ensure comprehensive and accurate data collection and analyze results to improve project implementation.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
•         Provides management direction and support to staff under his/ her supervision
•         Assist in the design and development of logical framework, Monitoring and Evaluation framework and Impact Assessment Strategy
•         Responsible for the development of relevant Monitoring and Evaluation tools and the provision of  M&E specific technical training for grant recipients
•         Responsible for Baseline assessments, benchmarking, and reviewing inception period findings for best practices and lessons learned.
•         Monitor data collection, collation, storage, analysis and reporting ensuring that data is audit worthy. Where problems exist, support partners in the identification of solutions to challenges faced
•         Support project staff to implement their learning agenda (baseline, midterm, final evaluations, etc.) This may include the identification of appropriate consultants to provide technical support.

Qualifications:
•         Eight-years overseeing M&E for a complex and large-scale program.
•         Advanced degree in a relevant field.
•         Experience developing and utilizing M&E tools and trainings specifically within the context of civil society and governance projects.
•         Experience in Nigeria preferred
•         Experience working with DFID programs and/or funding required
•         Strong managerial skills; experience overseeing staff required
•         Strong computers skills are mandatory, as are strong written and oral communications skills
