Advans is seeking a Chief Operating Officer - F/M to work under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer and with the support of Horus's head-office.

Job Title: Chief Operating Officer
Companies: Advans SA, Horus Development Finance
Location: Nigeria

Tasks and Responsibilities:
•   Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer and with the support of Horus' head-office, the COO will be in charge of: the commercial operations of Advans Nigeria; the organization of market studies, the definition and implementation of new financial products
•   The recruitment and training of commercial staff; the supervision of the branch network's expansion in the country; the setting up of the required organization, policies and processes to achieve the operational objectives defined in the business plan; the achievement of the business plan;
•   In accordance with Horus' mandate, and together with the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Financial Officer, the COO of Advans Nigeria will identify, recruit and train a local management team which will progressively take over the management of the institution.

Qualifications:
•   Master's degree or equivalent in management/accounting/finance;
•   Fluency in English, reading and understanding French is appreciated;
•   At least 5 years' experience, including 3 years in an operational position within a financial institution or a development program;
•   Successful experience in microfinance or SME finance and particularly in credit methodology;
•   Successful experience in management and in network and sales coordination;
•   Successful experience in teams and managers training;
•   Strong willingness to work in the field;
•   Rigorous, analytical, with management, organizational and writing skills, and;
•   Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and conflict management skills, resistance to stress.
