The Managing Editor of Media Trust Limited, Malam Suleiman Ibn Mohammed, yesterday died in a manner management and staff of the company described as shocking and devastating.

Mallam Suleiman Mohammed, 50, collapsed close to the Unity Bank branch in Area 3 where he had gone for a transaction at about 10 am.

He had parked his car close to the bank and was exchanging pleasantries with a Park N Pay official when he slumped and was rushed to the nearby Bepos Clinic where he was confirmed dead minutes later.

Colleagues who saw him leaving the office to the bank earlier yesterday morning before the incident said he was in good spirit and showed no sign of ill health.

He was described by colleagues in a condolence register opened yesterday in his honour at the premises of Media Trust Limited as "perfect gentleman" and someone with a listening ear. "...You were a good man," Mahmud Jega, Daily Trust Deputy Editor-In-Chief wrote in the register.

He has since been buried in Keffi, Nasarawa state according to Islamic rites.
