Job Description:
• Implementing the product strategy for achievement of IS revenues in Nigeria through sale of Funds & Portfolio products.
• Support delivery of investment products and advisory platform
• Provide product management support by ensuring regular flow of competitive investment products & support to the sales teams.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Product Strategy:
•Assisting the Wealth Management business in Nigeria as a unique provider of value-added financial services for the Personal, Preffered and Priority Banking segments through formulation and implementation of group and country strategies to maximize profitability with compliant sales.
•Source, develop and manage high quality & innovative products after assessing market potential, customer needs and competitive product range.
•Ensuring that the Wealth Management sales teams receive adequate sales support, training, marketing collateral and other sales tools to achieve the targeted revenue numbers.
Improve Product Offering:
• Research driven product development – Integration of research inputs with launch of all new products – Launch/highlight products in line with market conditions
• Assist RMs with sales efforts through bespoke product structuring
• Continuously survey investment landscape and introduce new products classes that will ensure business continuity in the future
• Ensure regular updates and support on existing products to the RMs
• Drive periodic portfolio performance reviews
• Work with Marketing Services on marketing campaigns, communication and branding for specific products
Provider Relationship Management:
• Maintaining cordial business relations with product providers.
• Developing relationships with new issuers to expand product universe and get improved pricing on products.
Regulatory & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and controls as set by the Bank and external regulatory authorities associated with product offering
• Analyzing economic trends, global markets, customer needs and competitive products in order to ensure achievement of targeted revenue numbers by the sales team
Qualifications & Skills:
• At least 4-6 years of experience in managing investment products in a financial institution with responsibilities for revenue, product development, investment process, investment systems and investment risk
• Strong analytical skills and in depth knowledge of equities, bonds, unit trusts, foreign exchange & currency products, currency options, derivatives, structured investment and latest product trends.
• Excellent product development qualities with ability to successfully implement product strategies.
• Extensive knowledge of investment theory and practice, Central Bank's rules and regulations and procedures.
• Strong leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and under tight schedule.
• Ability to identify need for change, adaptable and flexible in anticipating and realizing market opportunities.
In compliance with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Act of 2004, all applicants should ensure that they have completed the mandatory NYSC programme. A discharge certificate will be required as evidence of completion of the programme. Where an exemption has been granted, a certificate of exemption will also be required.
