Ex-militants of the Niger Delta have expressed gratitude to the Federal Government for including them in the third phase of the amnesty programme.
.
The former militants in a letter of gratitude to President Goodluck Jonathan by the Delta State chairman of third phase amnesty programme, Mr. Kingsley Agas and others, however, complained that since the payment of the third phase of the amnesty programme was effected, the bank accounts of some documented leaders were yet to be credited. They added that those whose accounts had been credited had their payment irregularly staggered and skipped, leaving only a few of the leaders with their payment update.
.
"We call on the financial section of the presidential amnesty programme to look into this issue and ensure that all documented leaders of the third phase of the programme are paid."
