Context/Scope:
To ensure success, a dedicated and focused resource is required centrally to work with the entire Sales team, and in particular with the Sales Director and Regional Sales Capability Manager in order to develop and enhance the skills and capabilities required by every member of the sales Function to deliver Sales Destination 2011 and beyond.

Purpose of role:
The National Sales Capability Manager supports and drives the development of Diageo Way of Selling capability to enable Guinness Nigeria to be within the top 3 Consumer Packaged Goods Sales teams in Nigeria

Accountabilities:
•   Develop a National training plan based upon training needs analysis in conjunction with Human Resources, Heads of Department and Director of Sales
•   Roll out Diageo Way of Selling (DWS). Ensure communication, involvement and commitment along the way. Encourage the sales team to adopt new ways of thinking and behaving. Work closely with the HODs and line managers to ensure that all the new and existing DWS skills and other capabilities are successfully trained and coached to high standards.
•   Ensure Intouch is fully embedded within GN Plc, and that all Intouch users have the capabilities required to fully utilise the system and follow the sales operating standards and Intouch ways of working

Qualifications and Experience Required:
•   First Degree
•   Minimum of 5-10 years successful commercial experience preferably in an FMCG /Drinks environment
•   A strong track record in Sales at a management level ideally with experience in at least two areas of Sales. Particularly critical is previous experience in a customer facing role whether in Field Sales or Account Management.
