Context/Scope:
•   A key contributor to the success of the Guinness Nigeria PLC strategic plan is an effective & flexible field sales force demonstrating industry leadership in both volume driving & brand building activity.
•   To ensure success, a dedicated and focused resource is required to work with the Distributor Development team to develop and enhance the skills and capabilities required by every member of the Distributor Development team to deliver a winning route to market.

Purpose of Role:
To plan and implement a sales capability agenda to enhance Distributor channel effectiveness for Guinness Nigeria Plc. Support the Distributor management sales leadership team in the implementation of:
•   commercial planning processes &
•   world class sales skills within Distributors channel

Top 3-5 Accountabilities:
•   Programmes in place and deliver such to ensure selling and commercial capabilities of the Distributor Management Teams are developed and followed through.
•   Roll out Diageo Way of Selling (DWS) and Platform for growth by ensuring involvement and commitment along the way. Encourage the Distributor Management Teams to adopt new ways of thinking and behaving. Work closely with the DDMs, Regionals Distributor Manager and Head of Distributor Management to ensure that all the new and existing PforG, DWS skills and other capabilities are successfully trained and coached to high standards in the Region. Be a role model for PforG and DWS and other capabilities.
•   Support the Regional Distributor managers, DDMs and other Line managers to foster their understanding of DWS and other capabilities by ensuring thorough communication process.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
•         Senior Sales Manager with high interpersonal skills, in-depth knowledge about the On-Trade and Off-Trade Sales environment
•         Strong facilitation skills
•         Capability to cope with ambiguity and adopt quickly
•         Graduate level: Master Degree
•         5-10 years commercial expertise in premium FMCG company
•         Provides sales and commercial development solutions which create value
•         A great coach who creates a proactive, supportive and challenging climate of individual development where excellence is expected
